Cefin Publishing House was established by the National Institute for Research-Development in Fine Mechanics in the year 1991 in order to assure the propagation of the most important results of the R&D activity fostered by INCDMF, but its thematic area is not restricted only to this scientific field. The main fields covered by the publications by the publishing house include: mechatronics, fine mechanics, electronics, automation,robotics, optics, sensor technology and more.

The printing house in 2007, at the Bucharest International technical Fair, was awarded the prize "Diploma de participare SALONUL CERCETARII 2007", as a proof of the interest that visitors showed for the Cefin Printing House stand.
